Today is the first New Moon of a brand new year. I’ve been toying with the idea of freshening up the look of my website for a while, with some encouragement from a friend. I finally decided to take the plunge.
I’ve had this website for almost 12 years.
WHOA. I HAVE HAD THIS WEBSITE FOR ALMOST 12 YEARS.
Hold on a minute while I take that in…
OK. Wow. Almost 12 years, and almost 600 blog posts…
All of this time, I have done all my own design and maintenance on the site. I created the logo, and headers, and quite a few of the images throughout the posts. For those who know WordPress, I’ve done all my own updates, and searches for new plugins. I’ve even fixed things when they break, mostly on my own (I’ve had a little help here and there).
Web design, styles, and themes have come a long way in the last dozen years, and I haven’t really kept up with it. I’m getting help with the tweaking, and it will probably be a while before the look is finalized, as I am back to work after a much needed break.
I am also preparing once again for Spring Mysteries Festival. It is going to be online again this year (because this pandemic is not over yet). If you haven’t been, or have a hard time with travel, I highly recommend it! And I’m holding Demeter again this year, so come see me perform!
