Nevertheless, She PERSEVERED

There’s a popular saying, “Nevertheless, she persisted”. To persist is to go on stubbornly. It says nothing of actually overcoming obstacles, or actually changing the outcome.

Nevertheless, she PERSEVERED

Persistence cannot admit defeat. It cannot see when it is time to change tactics, or use a different solution. It does not flow.

Perseverance, on the other hand, is steadfastly pursuing an undertaking, task, journey, or goal, even if hindered by distraction, difficulty, obstacles, or discouragement. It is keeping your eyes on the prize and not letting ANYTHING stand in your way.

Perseverance is stronger than persistence, and more focused. It informs us to work smarter, not harder. If you cannot go over, perhaps you can go around, or under, or through.

The universe has given me quite a few obstacles lately. In the past, some of them might have reduced me to tears, or at the very least freaked me out and upset me. Through all of it, Hera has been whispering in my ear, “Nevertheless, she PERSEVERED!”

It’s encouragement that overcoming obstacles only makes me stronger, and shows me that my limits are not where I thought they were. This mantra is a reminder of my queenhood, my divinity, and that I am bigger than my problems.

Wear it like a crown – Nevertheless, she PERSEVERED!

Blessings,
Mary
