old vision board

Time for a New Vision…

A new vision board that is.

Old Vision Board

Remember that time when I got bit by creative inspiration that wouldn’t let me go until I completed it? I said it felt like I was being eaten by a boa constrictor.

Well, it’s happened again. It’s not a table this time, though. It’s a vision board.

I have a vision board above my computer that has been there for… many years. I don’t even remember when I made it (I ought to put a date on it…)

Anyways, the urge to make a new one struck me, so I looked more closely at the one above my desk. And you know, a lot of it has come true. Not everything, of course. However, quite a lot of it has.

There’s not a lot of “things” on there. Mostly ideas of who I want to be. Who I have become. So now it’s time to envision the next future me.

There are quite a lot of changes on the horizon – some I can see clearly, while others are just a vague feeling. I would rather choose the direction my life is heading than let the randomness of chance dictate for me. The vision board helps me focus on what it is that I want.

It also helps me re-focus when life inevitable throws some curve balls, as it will. When I get too distracted by other things, my vision board will help me re-orient myself back to my goals and ideals, and not get lost in the day to day grind.

I’ve begun collecting magazines, and I’m setting aside time. This retrograde and eclipse energy is the perfect time to focus on my desires for the future.

What has your experience with vision boards been? Do you have one on the go?

Blessings,
Mary
