Spring Mysteries Festival 2019

And I’m Back

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind. Leading up to and then the event of Spring Mysteries Festival, I was busy every moment, mostly with sewing.

Spring Mysteries Festival 2019

I hit a scarcity wall about a month ago (whoa, it’s been a whole month???), and it was quite a curve ball. To help with our trip, I took on some extra sewing. You know, in my “spare time”.

I got most of it done, though. The Festival was a success, and less stressful than in some years past. It made a HUGE difference to be on site for the week prior. I am EXTREMELY grateful to the folks who prepared our food each day. There’s no way I would have eaten as well without them!

Now I begin the transition back to “normal” life. I spent a lot of last week resting – sleeping in when I could, or going to bed early. It was delicious to be able to sleep past 8 am both Saturday and Sunday. We still had two rituals, though!

This coming weekend marks the start of the Pier Street Markets, so not a whole lot of down time. I’m looking forward to the focus time with my sweetheart though. We just celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. Though we’ve definitely settled into married life, I’m still very much in love, and very grateful to have such a supportive partner.

And, of course, I’m still integrating my experiences from the festival. Being able to watch the performance, and being so proud of each and every one of the people on stage. Helping to make sure things went smoothly. Watching a dear friend be elevated to Arch Priest, and being part of the ceremony. Going through another initiation experience myself. Holding space for others to transform. Witnessing Wendy Rule entwine her music and love of the Mysteries with our rituals. Receiving news I knew was coming eventually, and wasn’t expecting quite yet.

As wonderful as it is to spend time in magical space with my spiritual family, I am glad to be home.

Blessings,
Mary
