Reflecting on 43

In just a few days, I’m turning 44. Forty four!

This past year has had it’s ups and downs. I had a very wonderful time researching and preparing to carry Persephone at Spring Mysteries Festival last spring. Also being a director for the festival was a big challenge, and I was exhausted by the end of it.

I went to New York for a conference for work. I had a (very limited) bit of extra time, and went to a comic con in New Jersey to meet my very favorite comic artist and author, Wendy and Richard Pini. I’ve loved them since I was in grade school.

I drove through New York City on my own. I walked through Times Square, and saw the Statue of Liberty, albeit from a distance.

I had a wonderful visit from my parents. I really enjoy seeing them, and appreciate them coming out to visit, because I really don’t get to see them often enough.

I attended the Parliament of World Religions with a group of other strong and amazing priests and priestesses. The experience was so powerful, and eye opening, and I feel so blessed to have been able to attend, and to have met so many other pagan leaders from across Canada and around the world.

I ended a friendship of many years. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

I got my moon tattoo, helped a friend cross over, and held a celebration of life for another friend.

I started reading tarot on keen.com. And I released a new meditation.

All in all, 43 was a pretty good year. Here’s to an even better 44!

Blessings,
Mary
