Getting Back On the Wagon

Last fall, I was doing so well on my journey to health. I wasn’t eating sugar, or at least keeping it quite limited. I was walking every day, and had gotten my daily steps up to 7500 consistently.

And then… travel. Festival. Parliament of World Religions. My routines were all thrown off track.

Just about that time, though, I heard of a new company that was launching that piqued my interest. Which is pretty difficult to do, since I’ve been quite disillusioned with network marketing (NWM) companies in the past.

I’ve tried quite a few different supplement programs, and individual vitamins and minerals in my time – some of them through NWM, and some recommended by my naturopath. To this point, none of the NWM programs have worked for me. (I know others have had success with various programs, so I’m not naming names).

However, this new one has a unique twist. It’s called Üforia, and the twist is that it uses information from your DNA to create an individualized plant-based supplement that supports variations in your DNA, called SNPs.

A SNP is a Single Nucleotide Poly-morphism. They are the most common type of genetic variation among people. Each SNP represents a substitution of a single DNA building block, called a nucleotide.

I’ve been taking it for about 3 months (if you count the pre-trition – the generic formula before you get your personalized formula). I have more energy, I’ve been sleeping better, and I’ve been able to stop taking a whole pile of other pills (yes, I’ve consulted my ND).

It’s not cheap, however, neither was the cabinet full of pills. And honestly, I’m feeling better than I did taking ALL THE THINGS. I’m even feeling motivated to make better choices about food and exercise again.

Now, let’s see how that holds up through the rigors of festival rehearsals…

Blessings,
Mary
