Manifestation Miracle!

What a difference a couple of weeks can make.

Two weeks ago, I was a wreck. My husband had just left on a business trip, and I was adjusting to being a (temporary) single mom. The brakes on my car had just died, and I was scrambling to juggle the expenses to repair it. Work and school and life in general was overwhelming.

Thank goodness for my friends. And my naturopath.

I can’t necessarily pinpoint one thing that made the difference. It was probably the combination of many of the little changes. I started taking some melatonin at night to help me sleep better, and vitamin B6 along with another stress formula supplement during the day. I received the support of my friends. And I took action to replace my vehicle.

Manifesting a minivanLast week I wrote about my vehicle and what I wanted to manifest. Less than a week later, I have a silver minivan sitting in my driveway.

I am in total wonder and gratitude.

It’s been a week of emotional ups and downs, and lots of research. And the Universe has helped me to receive the newest vehicle I have ever owned, at a price that is within my budget to pay for.

It crossed my mind that I could have looked into financing for a vehicle when our other van died two months ago. If I had done it then, this vehicle would not have been available. I would have settled for a vehicle that did not fit the needs of my family nearly as well.

Sure, I wouldn’t have sunk a bunch of money into buying and repairing a car that was destined for the wrecker. And even with that I am at peace. That car filled a gap for us. And if it had not had so many problems, I probably would have put up with the stress and expenses of driving a vehicle that was not suitable for my family for quite a while.

Now I have a van that is only 3 years old. Previously it was used to help people with health challenges get to much needed medical appointments (there were angels on the sides of it!), so it has high mileage and good karma (car-ma?).

I am so grateful to the Universe for lining this up for me – from the stress and the challenges all the way through to the positive manifestation. I’m also grateful that I was listening and following through on the gentle nudges and intuition I was receiving. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

How Lucky Are You?

The other night on Facebook, my husband posted a link to this article: “Derren Brown: The Experiments – When “We” goes too far“. In this article, there was a YouTube video of the UK TV show, The Experiments. I have to say, I watched this video in fascinated horror at what the faceless “mob” will do to another person.

It got me curious about this show, though. Are all of Derren Brown’s experiments nasty? Certainly, the Guilt Trip episode was. And then I watched this one:

It is a fascinating experiment on how we create our own luck. Essentially, he plants the idea in a small town that a certain dog statue is lucky.  After several months, the townspeople certainly feel they have better luck than they did before. By planting the idea of luck, the people began to draw more luck to themselves.

So what kind of luck do you believe you have? In the show, Derren suggests that your luck is partly how you believe it to be, and partly based on seeing and taking opportunities. Another way to phrase the question, then, is do you see the opportunities that are around you?

Here are some ways to begin to see more opportunities:

  • Listen to people. A lot of times, we only half-listen to what the people around us are saying. When we don’t give our full attention to what others have to say, we can miss opportunities.
  • Be aware of your surroundings. One man in the video didn’t even see a 50 pound note laying on the ground because he was not aware of his surroundings.
  • Solve problems. A Lot of opportunities masquerade as problems. They may seem awful at the time, and then once you are through the other side, you see what a wonderful opportunity that problem really was.
  • Change your perspective. Is the glass half empty, or is it half full? It’s like those optical illusions – when you shift your view, the whole picture changes. (Life coaching is great for helping to change your perspective.)

I encourage you to make your own luck, even if that means getting out your lucky penny or lucky rabbit’s foot from when you were a child. You never know, you might get lucky!

PS. You can still get a lucky savings of $10 off the Elements of Abundance course if you take advantage of the opportunity before July 3rd.

Summer Specials from Walks Within

I’ve been sick all weekend, so this probably isn’t the best time for me to make decisions like this.

Summer Sale at Walks WithinOn the other hand, I’ve been thinking about this for quite a while, and I figure there’s no time like now to let you know about it.

Starting on Thursday, June 27th I’ll be running The Elements of Abundance program again! The Elements of Abundance is a 5-week course that walks you through the process of manifestation to help you stop living a double life and start living the life you love.

Here’s what one person had to say about the last course:

Seriously, I’m just beginning to grasp the profound changes stemming from this course. The very first call planted a seed, the following calls nurtured it, and now darned if I don’t have a forest popping up around me. It’s humbling and inspiring and encouraging me that I’m moving in the right direction.

Back in February I held a contest for people who commented on my post about Money Myths. I was waiting to announce the winner until I knew for sure when I would be running the course again. I’m pleased to announce Sarah is the winner! Sarah, I’ll be contacting you with information on how to register for the course.

Everyone else, click here to register!

This summer I’m also offering a life coaching special. (This is the one I should really be waiting until the cold medication wears off to decide on, but here goes nothing!)

For July and August only, you can get:

  • A 2 hour Discovery Session
  • plus 8 weeks of coaching

for only $250

Just to let you know how big a deal this is… Normally, this would cost you over $1000, so you’re saving more than 75% off my regular rates. I also usually ask for a 3 month commitment, so you’re saving there as well.

There’s no pressure for you to continue coaching after the 8 weeks if you aren’t interested or able. And yet I think you’ll find that life coaching can help keep you on track to achieve your goals faster and easier than you imagine.

Why am I doing this? Well, I have some extra time in my schedule coming up this summer, and I really enjoy helping people. Also, I know what a big financial commitment coaching can be, so I’m doing what I can to make the decision a no-brainer.

What’s the catch? You have to be a new client. And you have to make your commitment by the end of June. I can only guarantee I’ll have the extra time through the summer. In the fall, my schedule packs up again. (Though if you do wish to continue coaching after the summer, I will have some spots available.) And I can’t afford to keep my rates this low forever!

Feel free to email me if you have any questions. And if you’re ready to sign up now, here’s the button:

Summer Coaching Special for only $250

Happy Summer!

Money Myths, Abundance and a Giveaway!

I don’t remember ever hearing it outright, but somehow when I was young I learned that truly spiritual people did not need or want money. There are lots of clichés about money:

  • money treeMoney is the root of all evil.
  • It is better to give than to receive.
  • Neither a borrower nor a lender be.
  • Money doesn’t grow on trees.
  • You can’t take it with you.
  • Money isn’t everything.
  • Money can’t buy happiness.

Some of these have truth in them, and some are, unfortunately, mis-quotes. For example, I have learned from a number of different sources that the first two quotes should really read, “The love of money is the root of all evil,” and, “It is better to be in a position to give than in a position where you need to receive.” Taken all together, the message I got was that money, or wealth, is bad.

It probably didn’t help that my family didn’t have a lot of money. My dad was always talking about this plan or that opportunity, but he never “made it” with any of them. Every once in a while, my father would tell me about how he could have made a lot of money with this or that, except for the thing that held him back. There is always an excuse.

Several years ago, I spent a lot of time attending courses and listening to audios and reading books about how to become successful or how to become wealthy.  I learned a lot, but following in my father’s footsteps, I had a number of excuses and I did not apply what I have learned in my life.  As easy as it might be to blame my parents, I don’t.

The courses I went to were great at motivating me while I was there in the room and surrounded by others who were just as hyped up as I was.  Unfortunately, they didn’t offer an action plan to get me going or keep me motivated once I got home.  They also did a very good job at appealing to my logic, but failed to engage my spirit.  Once again, it sounds like I am blaming the courses for my lack of action, but please believe that I do not.  I take full responsibility for my procrastination!

One course I went to at the end of October 2008 was different from the others.  Instead of trying to teach methods of becoming wealthy, the point was to work on discovering the negative beliefs and conditioning we all have around money, and replace them with positive and supportive beliefs.  I was amazed at the energy level of the room, and astounded at the depth of the work accomplished in a huge room of 450 people.  The presenters managed to create and hold safe space for us to work in.  I uncovered many of my own limiting beliefs and patterns.

Today, I understand and believe deep in my core that I am a child of the Divine.  Since the Divine Spirit created everything in the Universe, and since I am a child of the Divine, everything in the Universe is my inheritance.  It is my birthright, and yours!  Each of us has come to this place and this time for a specific reason, and everything we need to accomplish our individual purposes has been provided for us.  All we need to do is ask and be open to receiving.

In the Elements of Abundance class, we worked on changing our beliefs about money, our feelings about wealth, our actions to achieve our visions, and how we receive the abundance that is all around us. And even I have been amazed at the results the people in the class have been having!

I’ll be running another session in the late spring. Would you like to take part? I’m giving away a spot in my next Elements of Abundance course, and you could be the lucky winner! Just leave a comment below (on the blog, not on Facebook) letting me know why you would like to take the Elements of Abundance course. I’ll announce the lucky winner April 15th. Good luck!
