High Vibrations: The Law of Resonance

I have some amazing people in my life. I have people who love me and support me, people who encourage me and look to me for guidance. And, of course, there are some people in my life that I am sure are here to challenge me. (Chances are pretty good that if you are reading this, I don’t think of you in that category.)

I was talking with a good friend, who also happens to do Akashic Record Clearing for me. As I was telling her about the various challenges I’ve been experiencing recently (and she was helping me clear it), I had a huge realization. The Law of Resonance was working in my life, and not to my benefit.

The Law of Resonance is something I talk about with my coaching clients quite a bit. Everything is energy, and energy is vibration or frequency. Some things vibrate at a higher or lower frequency than other things. The same goes for people. Some people operate at a higher or lower vibration than others.

Let’s talk about people. When two people who are living at different vibrations come into contact with each other for any appreciable length of time, one of three things will happen:

  1. The lower vibration will increase to meet the higher vibration.
  2. The higher vibration will decrease to meet the lower vibration.
  3. Both vibrations will change to meet in the middle.

All three options have the same effect – the two begin to resonate at the same frequency.

I had a huge aha moment during our conversation. I haven’t been holding my vibration. I’ve been allowing the others I come into contact with to affect me. I’ve been letting the challenges drag me down.

I am bigger than any of the challenges I face. I can handle it. Not only that, I can handle it with grace and integrity. I only need to keep my vibration high.

Only. That can be easier said than done.

I’m focusing on getting back to basics. I’m working on raising my vibration through my meditation practice. I’ve started writing in my journal again. I’ve cleansed my space with sage. And I’m wearing crystals like rose quartz to stay focused on coming from my heart.

I can be the eye of the storm. Challenges and obstacles can rage around me, and I don’t need to get swept up by them. I can hold the higher vibration and by doing so, allow others to raise their vibration as well.

Blessings,

Mary

  1. This is SO true, and a much needed reminder for me. I’ve been letting others influence my vibration. Time to recalibrate. 🙂

  2. Recalibrate! I like that!

  3. I’ve also been allowing the others I come
into contact with to affect me. I’ve been letting
the challenges drag me down too until now. I’ve learnt to manipulate frequencies instinctively that even when I come in contact with negative vibrations I have the ability to watch, detach and even control the situations arising from -ive vibrations while gradually infusing my vibe in the environment thus temporarily relieving the person of the negative vibes.
A better life is just so free of charge!

  4. Very good advice! I also like the word “recalibrate!” I have the experience of finding myself in a chaos of challenges which seem overwhelming and wondering how I got there. I’m going to work on creating that higher vibration and the place of calm and groundedness from which to address the challenges. Very helpful! Thanks!

  5. I’m curious, Victor, where/how did you learn to do what you do?

Michele – best of luck to you! Speaking from experience, it can be challenging to maintain. Use whatever reminders and tools you have: crystals, your desktop image/screensaver, a timer on your phone to remind you to meditate, sage spray, etc! And yes, I use all of those things!
