I Think I Need a Break. A Little Break? Okay. Whew!

I’ve been sitting at my computer for the last three days – writing blog posts, writing a course I’m working on, editing videos, waiting for videos to process or upload, and getting in the conversation on Facebook. Today I needed a break.

I decided to head to the beach. But first, I grabbed my phone, my headphones, and a book. I walked through the sunshine, enjoying the warm air on my skin. There was very little traffic as I crossed the highway, and I had the beach to myself. The tide was on its way in, so there was only a little sand. Ahhh, peace!

Working at the BeachI dropped my bag, and picked up my phone. And started to record another video. While at the beach, I recorded three more videos for my 30/60 challenge.

Here I was, at the beach on a beautiful, sunny afternoon, with just enough breeze to keep the temperature comfortable, and I was recording more videos! Actually, it was kind of cool that I was working at the beach. (I did take some personal time while I was at the beach, too. I read, and enjoyed the water washing over my feet.) This blogging and video challenge has really gotten to me. I think about it all the time.

“Would this make a better blog post or a video?”

“How can I record this the way I want?”

“Oh, I should write about that!”

It’s a little crazy, actually.

Part of it is because I am very conscious of the time freedom I have right now, and that I won’t have the same time freedom in a few short weeks. So I am making the most of my time while I can.

Part of it is just to get it done. I made a commitment to do 30 blog posts and 30 videos in 60 days. Keeping commitments is something I value – a lot. So I need to make sure I keep my word – to my mentor, to myself, and to the Universe.

And part of it is because it is kind of fun! I am enjoying exploring different ways of sharing my life experiences, lessons and beliefs with you. Even more, I enjoy hearing back from you – how my message affects you, or how you relate to what I share. It is a way of discovering how we are all connected.

I can’t say yet whether I will continue blogging or videoing as frequently once this challenge is over. I can say though that this challenge will definitely have an impact on how I blog and video in the future! And I hope you will continue the journey with me.

If you’ve missed any of the videos, you can find them all on my YouTube channel here. Please go and subscribe if you haven’t already!

Blessings,

Mary
