Back to School and Technical Difficulties

Yes, it’s that time of year again…back to school.  I’m not one of your typical parents who rejoices at sending my kids away for hours of the day.  Sure, it has its benefits, but it also has its negative aspects as well.  Like children becoming more oriented to their peers than their parents.  But I’ll save the homeschooling argument for another day.

I’ve decided to take some classes as well.  My church has some courses that it offers online, and relatively inexpensively, too.  I know that I am more disciplined if I have others relying on me, so I’ve gathered a group of my friends to form a study group, and we’re all going to take the classes together. I’m also debating taking a meditation course online, though I may wait until I have completed the other course to begin that. I’m quite excited, but I don’t want to over do it!

One of the components is an online classroom, and when I installed the software the other evening, I discovered that my computer is too old and slow.  I need more RAM and a newer graphics card.  It’s a long weekend, though, so I have to wait until the computer stores are open tomorrow to see about the upgrades I need.  Because my computer is so old, I can’t find the parts at Staples, or Future Shop.  I even spent much of the weekend attempting to get other old hardware to work in my machine!

One of the quotes my husband and I live by is, “If you’re not growing, you’re dying.”  My computer has not been growing, so it has been slowly becoming quite outdated.  Just like me, when I don’t keep learning and keep my mind active.  Whether it is improving my parenting skills, my financial literacy, or learning the process of manifestation (or all of the above at the same time!), I like to keep my mind quite active.

What are you learning about right now?  Please leave a comment and let me know.  I may want to learn with you!

Blessings,

Mary

  1. Wonderful insight mary, i too am learning to balance life, to live in the now, to juggle responsibilities, with happiness and a calm centered heart, and not get bogged down with all the overwhelming aspects of day to day life, just like a computer can become slow, i am using the tools in my toolbox to remain at a higher frequency. Whether it is noticing the beauty around me, or watching what type of energy is around me, from the tv, music or computer, and also making time to read enlightening articles, books, listen to meditations, eat healthy, excercise, i am learning that all of these things plus manifesting, abundance, and love not only for myself yet for others and the world can seem like a big job sometimes, with never ending resources, yet it is a fulfilling one, that always has a reward around the corner you don’t expect. For it is only when you remain in love and give love unconditionally it is returned 3 fold. Recently i have been learning about different meditations on the violet flame, or the heart conciousness. Someone once said to me that the most difficult lesson you will learn is to travel from the head and live from the heart. I have been learning to speak my truth, live my truth, trust that the universe provides, and have been manifesting meeting as many like minds, or lightworkers that i can. For i believe in this technological world, having connections even if online, can inspire the soul, open doors, leading me to where i need to be on my path and learning what i am here to do. How to remain in love and not fear, and how to keep vibrating at my highest potential, while helping others awaken and heal themselves within. I am excited for you and the new journey you are taking, i am sure that this reflection, of letting go of the old and outdated, and taking in the new courses, will not only help you vibrate at your highest potential but continue to do so for others as well, as you always have amazing knowledge and kindness for others, you will continue this and replenishing your energy until it has become automatic for both.

  2. I am in total agreement with you and David, “If you are not growing, you’re dying”. I have been doing a lot of growing the the past few months. At least this is my Intention. I have been reading “A Course in Miracles” ( more of a life long study than a read through), and Dr. Wayne Dyer, Excuses Be-Gone( another life long study). How wonderful it is to reconnect Oneness with Spirit! I am so hungry for more, it is actually greater than I. The fires it is sparksing are beyond words! Woohooo!

I am also researching courses here in Montreal for Reiki. Yes, I am actually a life student and am living proof that most “challenges ” are mere “opportunities”. There is nothing I cannot do when I BELIEVE in Me and understandingly hear the “calling” from within whispering…NOW!

    Mahalo Dear One!
    With Much Aloha ~

  3. I haven’t read “A Course in Miracles”, but I did enjoy Marianne Williamson’s “A Return to Love” based on the course. And I highly encourage your Reiki study. I am a Reiki practitioner and teacher, and I use it frequently with positive results.
